Joey McBride grew up playing tennis on the courts of Hickory Hill! He joined the coaching staff in 2020 as a junior coach. He has taught many HH members the game of Pickleball and has provided private tennis lessons to children and adults. He is excited to serve as the Head Coach for the 2024 season! After enjoying years of lessons and summer club competition as a young HH player, he began competing in varsity level tennis while still in middle school. He served as a team captain during his last year at Orchard Park High School. He is currently playing both singles and doubles for his college tennis team at SUNY FIT in Manhattan. Joey brings a high level of tennis knowledge to his instruction while keeping it playful and engaging for all levels and ages. While developing players’ skills he also teaches proper etiquette and emphasizes the good sportsmanship Hickory Hill is known for, on and off the court. He is looking forward to a fun and active season for all players and competitors.
